An Essay on Public Transportation Goes Coast to Coast

Last January I published an essay that—excuse the pun—had some wheels. Originally written for Zócalo Public Square, it found its way into the LA Times and the Boston Globe. Once again, I’ve Eryn Brown and Sarah Rothbard (at Zócalo) to thank for this good fortune, but also Kelly Horan at the Globe’s Ideas Section for taking another of my essays. The fullest version of the piece is still up at Zócalo. That’s the one with a must-read paragraph about Paterson (the movie!), which stars my favorite Hoosier, Adam Driver.
